GTA 6: 12 Exciting Theories That Would Change EVERYTHING
7. The Whole Of The United States Is Your Playground
Ever since Grand Theft Auto V was released, fans have mused about what its successor may have in store. Among the discussion of protagonists, potential storylines and such, one question has always been front and centre: where will the game be set?
Naturally, the series has always thrived in an urban open-world environment, rather than a true open ‘world’ more akin to Red Dead Redemption 2’s. However, Rockstar certainly have a lot of scope for expansion here, especially considering that they’re going to have the heft of the next generation of gaming systems behind them.
Instead of choosing between a selection of fan-favorite locations like Liberty City, then, how about going full-throttle and setting the game across the entire United States? This theory was put forward back in 2015, and it truly is exciting to think about.
If Rockstar could actually pull off the ambitious aims of titles like The Crew (which didn’t exactly deliver on the ‘whole U.S.’ front), they’d potentially be bringing us the biggest open world the industry has ever seen. How would we travel between cities? How much freedom would we have outside of them? The mind boggles!
