6. Keep Your Money
You know what they say, a dollar saved is a dollar earned. It may sound obvious, but just don't spend your money. Firstly, make sure you regularly bank your earnings at an ATM or via your iFruit's internet banking site. If you don't, getting killed will make your character drop some precious bills - which can then be scooped up by other players. Helpfully, every time you have over five thousand dollars on your person, the game will prompt you to deposit your cash. Secondly, just don't buy stuff early on. You don't really need that $25,000 two car garage when, if you stick at it, you'll have that $400,000 swanky apartment and ten car garage in no time at all. Let's me honest, you don't really need to stick dozens of attachments on your pistol, when you'll be upgrading to a bad-ass assault rifle in a few levels time. Do you really need to buy a helicopter, or jet ski, or sports car when you can just steal one. It is Grand Theft Auto after all.
