4. Safe
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m_6ksxHBklo Safe is a film that perhaps isn't on too many people's radars yet, despite being an unexpectedly thrilling, technically accomplished little action film. Safe has Jason Statham shooting his way across New York in order to protect a young girl who is wanted by gangs, and it could translate pretty seamlessly into a frenetic escort mission in GTA V. Perhaps we're tasked with taking care of the boss's daughter for the day, and a rival gang wants to kidnap her? We know, we know; escort missions are usually among the most annoying types of mission in video games, but by keeping the pace frantic, it hopefully would not get bogged down in the usual issues (plus, the enemies want to capture, not kill the girl, so no need to worry about her health-bar too much). Notable moments from Safe that would be great fun in a GTA mission include a brutal hand-to-hand fight at a bar, a ludicrous moment in which Statham shoves an assailant out of a window, falling with him and ultimately using his corpse to pad his landing, and a thrilling chase on a train, which has Statham running atop it, before kicking ass inside it. In fact, given how many GTA games have a subway system, it's a real surprise they've never - presumably by way of technical constraints - given us more to do on it. If GTA V has one, this would be the perfect time to add some flavour to it.
