5. Mini-Game Madness
Mini-games have always been present as a feature in GTA in some form or another, although traditionally they've never managed to take much of the focus away from the main campaign, at least not for very long. Even in GTA IV, in which the mini-games were implemented alongside a roster of NPC friends with whom you could play them against (bowling, darts etc), with only a few on offer, the novelty quickly wore off. In GTA V, there's to be a vast range of activities on offer including the long awaited return of base-jumping, scuba diving, tennis, full rounds of golf and even yoga would you believe (amongst several other unique excursions). This expanded mini-game element seems to have been reshaped in GTA V into something you could actually waste an entire day on as opposed to simply a way to kill a few minutes here or there, or something to do to shut Roman up for a mission or two. R* have been pushing mini-games within the GTA universe more and more of recent years but for the most part, they've never managed to make the concept fully click. But I must say, from what I'm seeing, it looks like GTA V might be the title to finally do it.
