There are heavy rumours that GTA VI will be a return to Vice City for the series. Let's face it, Liberty City was done expertly in GTA V. It'd be futile for Rockstar to attempt to top that particular effort for a while, so Vice City would make sense. If the game does take place in that setting, fans of the series would be expecting an appearance from an old friend. In GTA: Vice City, Tommy Vercetti was the main protagonist. A take off of Al Pacino's character, Tony Montana in the Scarface movie, Vercetti is an underdog who is looking to make a real success story out of himself. Through association with some extremely dodgy people, he's able to achieve that, and end up dominating Vice City. It's a wonderful story, and Tommy is a tremendous character. When rumours started circulating that GTA VI might take place in Vice City, the internet promptly exploded over the idea of a Tommy Vercetti return. Since Vice City, he's been mentioned numerous times, most notably in GTA: San Andreas. If the series does return to the Miami-inspired city, Vercetti is an absolute must. Fans of the series deserve to know what happened to his life after GTA: Vice City concluded.
