9. Darker And More Personal Storytelling

Spoilers for Halo 4, but at the close of that game the Master Chief is seemingly at his lowest ebb; Cortana is dead and the Chief looks ready to break down and snap. Halo 5 will then see him go missing, only to be pursued by newcomer Spartan Locke. The premise is an enticing one as it could allow for a more intimate look at the Chief, already a mainstay in the franchise as he undergoes something of a personal crisis. War is breaking out around him and the stakes have never been higher, so it'd be brilliant to have storytelling that is more in keeping with this tone. Sure, we want to enjoy Master Chief as the ass-kicking machine that we know we can be, but there is a man underneath the mask and it'd be a cool change of pace to see more of that.
