Hearthstone: Blackrock Mountain - 5 Most Powerful Cards You Must Own

2. Quick Shot (Hunter)

Card Text: 2 mana. Deal 3 damage. If your hand is empty, draw a card. Sometimes a card comes along that is just made for a particular deck to take and run with. Such is the case with Quick Shot and the Face Hunter deck. Face Hunter is already one of, if not the most aggressive decks in Hearthstone, with the ability to consistently kill opponents on turn 6 or 7. The Face Hunter doesn€™t care about your minions (unless they have Taunt €“ but they have Ironbeak Owls for those); it only cares about doing as much damage to you as quickly as possible and racing you to the ground. The deck is centred around its hero power, supported by cards that deal direct damage (Kill Command), Charge minions (Wolfrider, Arcane Golem, Unleash the Hounds) and weapons (Eaglehorn Bow). What more could a Face Hunter deck ask for than a card which guarantees 3 damage to an opponent€™s life total, and potentially draws them a card as well - which, since the Face Hunter plays almost exclusively cards of 3 mana or less, is likely to be the case? Yes, there is the argument that a minion may stay on the board to do more damage over time, but a minion is not guaranteed to be able to attack your opponent directly. In fact, the only decision to make about Quick Shot is what to remove for it. It€™s an auto-include for any aggressive Hunter deck, and even in the more mid-range decks it€™s a cheap removal spell €“ a Darkbomb with a bonus. Quick Shot is a powerful addition to an already powerful deck, and a card that an opponent will fear.
