Hitman 1 & 2: 10 Best Levels So Far

1. World of Tomorrow (Sapienza)

Easily the most iconic and popular level in both Hitman and Hitman 2, perhaps even the entire series. Sapienza showed us just how good a modern Hitman game could be without having to follow the conventions of modern third-person shooters.

A quaint Italian village hiding a deadly virus in the caves below Villa Caruso. Sapienza is beautiful and you'll find yourself getting lost exploring everything it has to offer. With many disguises to choose from and opportunities at every corner. On top of that Sapienza has three bonus missions that completely overhaul the map and focus on areas that you may not have explored in the main mission.

Sapienza has by far the most assassination methods and some of the most unique, whether it's disguising yourself as Francesca De Santis' lover and inviting her to a private room, only to poison her wine, or firing a cannon at Silvio Caruso's plane as he's about to escape. Sapienza has it all and is a key example of how to design a Hitman level. Sapienza is a masterpiece in level design and we're hoping that Hitman 3 has some levels as good as, if not better than it.
