Jyn Erso & Director Krennic Confirmed For Star Wars Battlefront Rogue One DLC

Although Rogue One is set to focus on an entire band of Rebels attempting to steal construction plans for the Death Star, Felicity Jones' Jyn Erso is easily the most popular of the bunch so far.

Case in point: Star Wars Battlefront. Announced at Star Wars Celebration alongside the return of rumoured 'Death Star' DLC, Jyn is the first confirmed 'good guy', going up against Ben Mendelsohn's evil Director Krennic.

The interesting thing is, if the DLC arrives before the release of the movie - a la the original Battlefront before The Force Awakens - we'll get a look at how someone like Krennic handles himself in a fight. So far, the mysterious character looks to be more of a "I'll let my minions do the work"-kinda guy, so anything that forces him to get involved is worth seeing.

Also noted is the DLC's location, Scarif - the setting of one of Rogue One's biggest set-piece battles, already seen in the newest featurette and promptly seeing Jyn sprinting across the sandy dunes with what looks like the plans themselves in-hand.

Although 2015's Battlefront liked to drop characters into locations they never visited in the movie, could this mean Krennic is the final roadblock for Jyn and her team? Let the theories commence!
