Kingdom Hearts 3: 8 Ups & 4 Downs

2. Up: Amazing Score

Kingdom Hearts III
Square Enix

The music in Kingdom Hearts 3 is one of the best scores in the entire series.

That isn't hyperbole either. Many of the tracks are remixes from previous games, but none of them sound worse and there's so much more weight put behind each piece of music.

One of the most important pieces of music in the Kingdom Hearts series is Dearly Beloved as it starts the whole game off, and it's absolutely incredible here. It's unlike any other version in the series.

Each Disney world also has its fair share of unique tracks too, and they all sound great. The Toy Box one can get a bit annoying, but you can't expect otherwise when it's a rendition of 'You've Got A Friend In Me'.

Skrillex and Utada Hikaru also worked together for Face My Fears and it's an absolutely awesome opening track. It doesn't beat Sanctuary, but it's definitely on par.

Just take a listen to some of the music for the final boss battles and you'll see exactly what I mean. Yoko Shimomura has really pushed herself to the limit.
