Leaked Footage Reveals Harry Potter Might Be Getting The Video Game It Deserves
Is the Wizarding World about to get the AAA treatment?
Harry Potter fans have done their waiting for a great video game, and now the time might have come at last.
Footage has made its way online of what was supposedly used as a focus group tester in America, with the 1 minute 20 seconds showing off an impressive exploration of the Wizarding World (via Press Start and RastaPasta). There have been a number of Potter games over the years, but this looks like the kind of blockbuster RPG that such a rich mythology and rabid fanbase deserves.
While rumours suggest that the game is being developed by Rocksteady, it's instead believed that Avalanche - the one that made Disney Infinity, not Just Cause - are actually working on the game, should it of course be real. The footage does look genuine enough, although there's a level of violence it's hard to imagine being in a Harry Potter game (namely, some apparent Goblin murdering).
That side, though, it's an intriguing prospect, with the description offering up a few more clues as to what fans can expect should it ever be released:

That all sounds, well, magical, so now we just need some confirmation on the small matter of it actually happening.
