The San Francisco 49ers are in turmoil. They've been ravaged by departures on the field and off it. The coaching team including Jim Harbaugh has left Santa Clara, and several high profile players have been allowed to leave and/or retire without being fully replaced. Patrick Willis, Justin Smith, and Chris Borland have all called time on their careers for various reasons, most shockingly Borland after a strong rookie season. Frank Gore, Michael Crabtree, Stevie Johnson, and Chris Culliver have all moved on from the 49ers as well, strengthening other teams and leaving San Fran looking depleted. Torrey Smith and Darnell Dockett are decent acquisitions but the franchise simply hasn't done enough to plug all of the gaping holes, and with Colin Kaepernick faltering, expect the 90-rated 49ers to sharply plummet in Madden 16. If there's any consolation to be had for 49ers fans, at least they'll provide a great rebuilding challenge in the game...
