6. Penalties Happen

For maximum realism, players need to feel like living breathing human beings. They need to feel like aggressive rampaging bulls in their armour, and when players get feisty, penalties happen in Madden 16. Holding, interference, the game has it and the referees will call you up on it. So far it's a realistic balance, with controls to prevent every play ending in flags being launched onto the field. Players have a trait which mirrors their real-life tendency to give away needless penalties, so over-zealous warriors in the real world will be similar in-game. This is an excellent way to inject a little more personality into the pixels.
