Madden 21: 10 Things We Already Know

10. The Release Date

Madden 21
EA Sports

As usual, EA is offering three different versions of Madden 21.

The standard and 'Deluxe' ones will release on 28 August. Plump for the 'MVP' edition (named in honour of cover star and Baltimore Ravens main man Lamar Jackson) though and you'll be playing three days earlier on 25 August. The same is apparently true for those who are EA Access customers.

Rather interestingly, this is almost a full month later than Madden 20's release last year. Maybe EA Sports wanted the extra time to work on things, or perhaps they had no choice due to the ongoing global pandemic currently dominating headlines and stealing office hours from those working on the game.

Madden 20 launches on 2 August 2019 worldwide. Sadly, everyone will have to wait at least another 23 days longer than that for this year's entry. Let's hope the wait is well worth it, eh?

Side note: Jackson couldn't do a proper photoshoot for the cover art, so EA enlisted pics from Ravens' photographers to create some retro-looking boxes. They look nostalgic and classy.
