Madden 21: 10 Things We Already Know

9. Dual Entitlement

PS5 Xbox Series X
Sony/Microsoft

Now for some good news.

If you're one of the folks sitting there thinking you might have to wait for Madden 21's "holiday release window" on the upcoming PS5 or Xbox Series X consoles, then think no more. EA revealed something called 'Dual Entitlement' to allay fears that someone might have to buy the game twice.

Anyone purchasing the PS4 or Xbox One versions of Madden will receive a free upgrade whenever they upgrade to the new hardware. The only hitch is that you have to trigger this before Madden 22 comes out in late-2021. That, as a pleasing knock on effect, means there's no real rush here.

This is a nice gesture from EA, and it's...out of character for a company often viewed as a money-grabbing outfit. Of course, they're not the only ones talking about this 'Dual Entitlement' stuff, but it's still something that'll please fan wallets.
