1. Cyclops
The fact that Cyclops was absent from Marvel Vs Capcom 3 was basically a crime. He'd been around since the very beginning, heading-up the roster for X-Men Children of the Atom and sticking around for a further four games, only taking a back-seat in Marvel Super Heroes back in 1995. His mainstay attendance means that Cyclops is one of the poster-boys for the Marvel brawlers - the image of him shaking hands with Ryu in X-Men Vs Street Fighter is truly iconic.
Something of a good all-rounder, Cyclops has the perfect play-style for casuals but enough depth and useful eye-beam variations that make him a real menace in the hands of experienced players. His trust eye-beam and devastating flash-kick also make him a formidable choice as an assist-character too, giving him fantastic anti-air and combo extension potential.
His combat prowess aside, Cyclops is one of the most iconic X-Men characters around and his absence from recent titles has left a lot of fans scratching their heads, and whatever reasoning Capcom had for his exclusion has never been made public.
So come on Arc System Works, give the fans what they want and bring Cyclops back!
