Mega Man X's greatest foe has yet to ever appear in the series. Then again, neither has X himself, until now.

One of the first Reploids (robots that can think), Sigma lead the Maverick Hunters, who take down any Reploids that turned "Maverick" against humans. However, once Sigma himself was infected by a virus, he turned Maverick and amassed an army, creating a war against humanity.

Thanks to the virus's spread, Sigma has consistently come back, even after his own death, and inhabited multiple different bodies. He's a highly mobile combatant who can teleport, use countless missile and gun weapons, and typically even wields a beam scythe or sword.
