When the Avengers come to the West Coast, they bring with them their very own Helicarrier. Bit OTT - sure - but there's presumably still a relationship between the Avengers and S.H.I.E.L.D. in this particular universe.

Either way that's sort of immaterial to the more pressing issue of what's powering the Helicarrier itself. An extended clip of the debate between Bruce and Tony confirms that it was being powered by Terrigen, which is very interesting given it confirms a link with the Inhumans.

In the comics, the Terrigen Mist is what causes Inhumans to develop their powers. A big Terrigen bomb was set off after the events of Infinity, which led to dozens of normal humans with Inhuman ancestry developing superpowers.

Here, it looks as though it's rendered San Francisco entirely uninhabitable, but there could definitely be another element at play too. As for Cap - don't be surprised if he makes it out of this one alive. There's nothing about Terrigen that includes portals or time-travel or whatever, but there's no way Steve Rogers is gone for good.
