Mass Effect 3 Demo Now Live To All

Gamers can now get hands on experience with one of the year's hottest games, as the demo for Mass Effect 3 is now available on Xbox Live Marketplace, PSN and PC. The description of the hotly anticipated preview reads as follows:

The demo begins in dramatic fashion with the spectacular attack on Earth, followed by a mid-game section showcasing the groundbreaking interactive storytelling, adrenaline-pumping action, ruthless and intelligent enemies, and deep customization that make Mass Effect 3 the must-have title of 2012.

The demo features two single player sections of the game and will also introduce players to the multi-player element of the game. Most players will not only be eager to play the story but to test out the Multi-player as this is the first in the franchise to step into it. Features:Single player Will comprise 1-2 hours of play time and can be played using either Action, RPG, or Story settings Includes two missions: the opening level featuring a Reaper attack on Earth, and a later level in which Shepard travels to an alien planet to seek their assistance in the war effort. Players won't be able to choose squad-mates. Story portion could contain minor spoilers according to the developers. Xbox 360 version supports Kinect. BioWare has hinted at full game unlockables for playing the demo - you'll also unlock items for Kingdoms of Amalur. Multi-playerCo-op will be open to all players from Friday 17th February unless the player has redeemed a Battlefield 3 Online Pass - those who have can enjoy access immediately, as BioWare confirmed:

"Logging into the demo using the EA Origin Account linked to that Online Pass will automatically unlock the multiplayer section of the demo. Note that you do not have to enter a code anywhere €“ if you have activated your BF3 online pass, the multiplayer section of the demo will be unlocked for you when the demo goes live."

Includes 2 maps: Slum and Noveria. Includes all 6 classes from the full game: Soldier, Vanguard, Sentinel, Engineer, Infiltrator and Adept. No data/XP will be carried over from the demo into the final game, and does not support imported saves or split-screen co-op. Mass Effect 3 Demo on PC Origin account required. The demo will be available to play until March 5th. The game is released on March 6th in the US and March 9th in Europe for XBox360, PS3 and PC.
