Mass Effect 4: 10 Essential Non-Game Characters Who Must Appear
10. Victor Manswell
One for the pile of guys you'd just want to ask everything from the left side of the dialogue wheel too, Manswell was a uber-rich billionaire who funded one of the first major trips into space - just as mankind discovered the mass relays and the world completely changed. Tough luck. He and his team of 300 cryogenically-frozen volunteers - known as The Manswell Expedition - drifted for around 100 years as every cultural advance around them accelerated exponentially, before eventually they were found by an Asari convoy. This led to one hell of a first contact as they promptly took a scientist hostage, causing a major Systems Alliance intervention to cool everything down again. Manswell himself isn't featured in the books or comics, but rather in the Cerberus Daily News bulletins that ran alongside the last two games, leaving everything about his appearance and motivations up to Bioware - however, as a key figure in humanity's foot in intergalactic the space race, he's right at the top.
