Mass Effect 4 Andromeda: 12 Brand New Details You Need To Know
11. Commander Rider Is The New Shepard
For this one, fans dove into the N7 trailer and pulled apart the scenes of our new protagonist at the helm of their new ship (more on that in a bit), discovering that the set of dogtags to the left of the screen could be zoomed in on. From there, it looked to read like 'Ryder' or 'Rider'. Delving into the existence of Commander Shepard for the original trilogy, he/she was named after Alan Bartlett Shepard, the first American in space way back in 1961, whereas the first American woman was Sally Ride, clarifying the 'Ryder/Rider' spelling and setting up the name as a perfect continuation. You'll still be able to choose male or female once you start creating your character again, but this so-far unconfirmed rumour is easily the most believable so far.
