Mass Effect Trilogy: 9 Crazy Facts You Never Knew

3. The Entire Blasto Movie Is Voiced By Both Shepards

Alongside Kimberley Brooks, Mass Effect was chock-a-block with great voice actors and nobody epitomised that more than its two leads.

Mark Meer and Jennifer Hale voiced Male Shephard and Female Shephard respectively, and their outstanding delivery played a strong role in making the good commander one of gaming's most beloved heroes. However, to truly appreciate the actors' talents you need to listen to the above clip of Blasto 6: Partners in Crime.

Blasto is Mass Effect's affectionate parody of renegade-cop movies, where the rule-breaking lawman is played by a giant jellyfish and his partner is a monotone quadraped who prefixes every statement with "Badassfully".

The clip is a ten minute love letter to bad movies and the stranger elements of the Mass Effect universe, made all the more impressive when you realise every character is voiced by either Mark Meer or Jennifer Hale.

This particular Easter egg appears in Mass Effect 3, and acts as one final summation for why gamers everywhere fell in love with the series: It's unashamedly geeky and ridiculous, but so full of heart you can't help but fall in love with it.
