Microsft Point System Replaced By Real Money?
Buying items on Xbox Live with actual money, weird right?
A rumour by Inside Mobile Apps indicates that we may not have to deal with Microsoft's confusing Point system for very much longer. According to the report, Microsoft is phasing out the Microsoft Point system by the end of 2012. Instead people will be able to buy things with whatever your local currency is. Buying items on Xbox Live with actual money, weird right? The change will affect " Windows Phone, the Zune marketplace and Xbox Live". In addition, if you have a Microsoft Points balance, it too will be converted over to local currency. The Microsoft Point system has been an issue for consumers from the very beginning, forcing people to basically convert their money every time they make a purchase was confusing to say the least. Not to mention that many times you would end up buying more points than you needed because you could only buy the points in increments of $5 (US). This is still just a rumor as when Microsoft was asked to comment on the issue they responded we do not comment on rumours or speculation.
