3. The Outer Worlds 2's Surprise Reveal

If there was any big, genuine surprise from Microsoft and Bethesda's show, it was surely the reveal teaser for The Outer Wilds 2.

The brief teaser saw Obsidian hilariously sending up the stylistic cliches of AAA reveal trailers, which place an emphasis on lush style over much in the way of actual detail.

The eye-watering CGI trailer eventually pulled back to reveal the only thing of substance the developer had ready to show players - the damn title.

We can assume from this reveal that the game is still a good while off, but at least we know that the hit action-RPG is getting a follow-up, and it'll be playable day one on Xbox Game Pass.
