Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition Set For Ongoing Updates
Sometime soon, your Minecraft worlds will become an entirely new wilderness.
Many gamers who have been religiously mining and crafting away on the PC version made the switch to Xbox 360, only to discover that it just isn't quite the same game. A limited world size guaranteed that those crafting gurus of old felt a grand sense of...disappointment. Given the amount of progress that Mojang accomplished with the PC title, it felt that the hefty price tag for the Xbox 360 version was unjustified. I mean you don't even need to eat on the 360, just adventure away. That's not survival! Regardless, of the shortcomings the game has been a phenomenal success for Microsoft, and 4JStudios is prepared to provide continuous updates and support. This will begin with the first update, version 1.7.3. This update includes minor tweaks and fixes, along with the biggest addition of pistons. While this is surely great news for those already lost in their newly created worlds, 4J has more in store for XBLA, with the change set to occur in the "Adventure update". Once this update hits players will most likely feel that this is what the game should have been at release. Miners everywhere will gain access to the infamous Creative Mode, where invulnerability, flight, and infinite blocks will fill all of your marathon building needs. The best part of all are the additions being implemented into the survival mode. Once downloaded, a stamina gauge forces players to eat and replenish their energy before adventuring again. Endermen enemies will appear and you will find yourself parrying attacks. NPC villages are scattered on the surface while underground strongholds provide loot. With an entirely revamped lighting system, Minecraft is about to get real. Paddy Burns of 4J studios had this to say on the challenge they are faced with the "Adventure update":
"This is going to be the most difficult update due to the sheer amount of changes, and also the underlying architecture changes that come with it. We're looking forward to the challenge!"We will provide more information as it is unearthed, and be sure to check out our full review here.Source: OXM
