"I am the law!"

Cold, uncompromising, and deadly are words that describe the iconic comic-book character Judge Dredd. They are also the keywords he'd need to put on his resume to make it into Mortal Kombat. If anything, he's overqualified.

This character is tasked with providing justice to Mega-City One, a dystopian future city that's so full of crime it makes Gotham look tame. He has the power to arrest, judge, and execute criminals, so he's plenty used to death and destruction.

Besides being a physical powerhouse, he also comes with a little tool called Lawgiver. This incredible gun features a collection of unique bullet types. You want explosives? He's got them! How about armour piercing? Oh, he's got it! What about incendiary bullets? Flame on! With a weapon like that, Judge Dredd could be unstoppable.

Dredd is also a character who doesn't have a definitive adaptation. Karl Urban's take in the 2012 movie is certainly the strongest, but it doesn't have household name status. Sylvester Stallone's 1995 version is iconic but certainly not in in the zeitgeist of today. Thus, the devs would have full reign to bring the character to life in any way they saw fit, perhaps straight out of the comics.
