Mortal Kombat 11: 10 Characters We DON'T Want To See

4. Taven

If you are unaware of exactly who Taven is, you could hardly be blamed. Appearing only once as a fleshed-out playable fighter in 2006's Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, this easily-forgettable fighter has been more or less left in that pre-soft reboot era of Mortal Kombat, but could be coming back in MK 11 for one reason.

According to many a rumour floating around the Mortal Kombat community, as well as some clues seen in MK 11's story trailer, it seems likely that the upcoming instalment will be loosely adapting the events as seen in Armageddon.

However, that particular instalment is infamous for one main reason... making Taven, a series-new character with whom no players have any connection to, the main protagonist of the game.

If MK 11 does end up using time travel to tinker with the story of Armageddon, we could be in for another forgettable, uninspired 3D era fighter returning. And if there's one kind of fighter that MK 11 can do without, it's those damned uninspired 3D era fighters.
