Mortal Kombat 11: 9 Neglected Characters That Must Return

Demoted to non-playable status in much the same vein as Rain for MKX, the short-lived bouts Earthrealm's warriors had with Baraka during their detour to Outworld led to natural speculation that the unhinged Tarkatan would ultimately end up joining the launch cast as DLC.

Those hopes were dashed when NetherRealm's post-launch announcements came and went without mention of the individual responsible for causing Wolverine's feelings of inadequacy, though he lived on through another. Guest character Alien's 'Tarkatan' variation spliced a portion of Baraka's combat preferences with the Xenomorph's own as a nod to the former, but still - it's a far cry from the real deal.

Can Baraka and his toothy grin return for MKX's successor? The demand is certainly there, but like Shang Tsung, he's supposed to be deader than a doornail. Though, given the circumstances of his death, it's tough to imagine 20th Century Fox allowing that to be canon.
