Sindel screaming to break a glass would have been pretty predictable, so NetherRealm going against people's expectations to have the screen shatter instead of her wine glass was an excellent twist on the idea.
Seeing Sindel laugh as shes fooled you before downing the entire glass of wine and tossing it aside is also so in character for the killer queen of Outworld.
It's a creative way of shaking up what could have been a pretty unoriginal offering.
