Mortal Kombat 11: Every PLAYABLE Character Confirmed So Far
7. Skarlet
Only the most true Mortal Kombat fans will know who Skarlet is. The character debuted as a glitch in Mortal Kombat II; she was actually just a skin glitch of Kitana, aptly named Scarlet, for her red outfit. For years gamers thought she was a real character, but that wasn't true.
Well, that was, until Mortal Kombat (2011).
Skarlet was added to Mortal Kombat 9 as a DLC character, thus retroactively making her a real character in Mortal Kombat canon. The MK9 version of the character looked similar to the original Kitana variation, but with red hair. Well, she looks markedly different for her role in Mortal Kombat 9.
Her new look sees her donned in black leather and red cloth, with short hair or a mask and headdress. It's a very different look but one that works. Throw in her incredibly unique blood ability and we can see the hype building.
Skarlet's Fatality was shown multiple times because it saw her impale her foe with blades formed by their own blood, then shoving one straight through their head, with their eye coming out the back. It's gnarly and quickly makes Skarlet a must-play character. This storied character is finally getting her due.
