Mortal Kombat: 30 Absolute Best Easter Eggs You Need To See

In Mortal Kombat X, Cassie Cage can perform a Fatality called "Selfie". When the player performs this finishing move, Cage smashes her rival's jaw and takes a picture of herself standing beside her victim. She then uploads the picture to a parody of Facebook called Friendships.

This single shot of the Friendships website is littered with more Easter eggs than any other aspect of the game. Also, the comments are randomised so you can look at this Fatality a dozen times and still find in-jokes and funny references.

Sometimes, Kano will ask, "A/S/L" (Age, Sex, Location) to Cassie Cage, causing her mother to comment, "Cassie, why is Kano on your friends list?" There is a Trending box which reads, “KILLING SPREE: Masked killer stalks campgrounds." which is a reference to Jason Voorhees. The comments on Cassie's selfie read things like "Fake", "What's wrong with you?," and "Has anyone unlocked Fujin?"

On the lefthand side, there are games including Sub-Zero's Death by Cold and Johnny Cage's Shadow Box. On the right, there are news updates including a poster for Johnny Cage's upcoming film, Ninja Mime.
