8. Daegon
Daegon is a demigod and was the primary antagonist of Mortal Komabat: Armageddon; he is the brother of Taven and the half brother of Rain. When his mother, the prophet Delia, foretold of Armageddon; his father, the protector God of Edenia Argus, put Daegon and Taven into incubation chambers, guarded by two dragons, to be awakened when the time came to defeat Blaze and prevent Armageddon. But Daegon's dragon made a mistake and awoke him early; which lead to Daegon becoming unbalanced. This and the manipulations of the fallen Elder God Shinnok lead Daegon to kill his parents and form the Red Dragon clan; the purpose of which was to find Blaze. Using the DNA of his imprisoned protector dragon, Caro, Daegon made human-dragon hybrids that could open portals to transport them anywhere they needed to go; eventually he was fought and defeated by his brother Taven before the Battle of Armageddon. Daegon is seen in Mortal Kombat 2011 fighting in the background of The Pit stage and has also been involved in the tie-in comics; and if the primary antagonist is to be Shinnok, as hinted at in 2011's ending, then Daegon must be included as one of his ruthless subordinates.
