Like other characters on this list; Spawn inclusion has been speculated on by IGN and fits well into the Mortal Kombat style. In life a CIA assassin murdered by his own agency and in death a Hellspawn with a plethora of supernatural powers; Al Simmons has facets in common with several Mortal Kombat characters. A fan-favorite anti-hero; people have been tweeting Ed Boon about the possibility of his inclusion. You can understand why people want to see Spawn in Mortal Kombat and it would be fairly easy to assimilate the character into their world too. Special Moves: Spawn comes with potentially dozens of special moves that have already or could easily be represented in the Mortal Kombat structure; the fun part for fans would be finding out what powers made the cut. "FINISH HIM!" Spawn could drain the soul from an opponent a la Shang Tsung, rip people apart with his chains, use his mastery of firearms crossed with his teleportation or summoning abilities to create a spectacular bullet ridden finish or go for something as simple as beheading or evisceration. There are a lot of possibilities if Spawn does make an appearance.
