Mortal Kombat X: 11 Rumoured Guest Fighters That Could Be Included

5. Conner MacLeod

The first thing readers may be thinking is how does an immortal character fit into a franchise called Mortal Kombat? Well, Conner has been mortal at different points in the Highlander franchise's, admittedly messy, continuity so a workaround is possible. Conner could act as a well known substitute for the as yet unannounced fan favorite Kenshi; with a similar playing style based around sword-play. Also; the fact that Christopher Lambert played Conner as well as Raiden in the 1995 Mortal Kombat movie could play as a nice little insider joke for hardcore franchise fans. Special Moves: Lots of swordplay based attacks; but there's also the The Quickening to factor in. This could be employed in game by adding sparking or electrical attacks to Connor's sword strikes or you could just go gung-ho with the whole thing and give Conner electricity based projectile attacks. An oft forgotten bit of cannon is the scene in Highlander where Conner uses The Quickening to draw the speed from a stag; this could open up the possibility for Connor to steal and use a special from his opponent. "FINISH HIM!" The obvious choice here is a beheading at the end of a brutal series of swordplay. NetherRealm could also implement the use the lightening based Quickening for Conner to burn opponents down to a charred skeleton.
