NBA 2K16: 10 Players Who Should Be Downgraded
"There's no way he can do that anymore!"
Every NBA 2K fan knows the feeling. It's the dying seconds and you're one point ahead against your opponents ludicrously overpowered Los Angeles Lakers team. Never mind that the Lakers haven't been a contender for years - the fact that they've got several franchise players (and Iggy Azalea's boyfriend) seems to be enough in the virtual world. You try to defend the final possession, but 36 year-old Kobe Bryant zips past his man like it's 2001 and dunks over a well-positioned Anthony Davis. There's no way he'd be able to do that in real life, but the game doesn't seem to care - and neither, frankly, does your opponent. It's the same old story yet again. Sports games often fail to acknowledge the fading powers of a big star, and in no league is this more clear than the NBA. While there's no place for out-of-sorts players to hide on the court, their virtual counterparts behave like superheroes, defying age and ability to dominate almost every game they play in. In a bid to end such injustice, here are ten players who seem to be waning in real life, and whose gradual (or in some cases rapid) declines should be reflected accurately in NBA 2K16.
