NBA 2K17: Bad And Ugly Contracts On Every NBA Team
26. Charlotte Hornets
The Bad: Marvin Williams 3 years / $39.5M
The Ugly: Cody Zeller 5 years / $61M
A couple of times when I started MyGM in the off-season - which is such a welcome feature, I love it - more often than not the Hornets traded Kemba Walker for the rights to Kris Dunn. I wasn't too convinced by that move until I played some games with the Timberwolves and I have to say, Dunn is the truth. He can shoot from long range, dribble and pass, and when trained right catches up to Walker, whose ceiling is pretty much set. That being said, it would be more reasonable to part with Kidd-Gilchrist, Williams or Zeller.
With the signing of his last-minute deal, Zeller takes the cake here, as his contract is long and ridiculous for a limited big man. Kidd-Gilchrist's deal might not be that bad, since he is a good young defender, whereas Williams' deal is just bad, because he is nearing the end of his career, slow, and only capable of shooting from long range.
