NBA 2K17: Bad And Ugly Contracts On Every NBA Team
25. Cleveland Cavaliers
The Bad: Channing Frye 2 years / $15.2M
The Ugly: Iman Shumpert 3 years / $31M, Tristan Thompson 4 years / $67.7M
The Cavaliers are $40M over the salary cap. If the owner makes the ridiculous demand of staying under it, these three basically need to go. Maybe it's just me, but for a couple of editions I've been struggling to make use of Shumpert.
I can't master his three point shooting - which isn't that good in the first place - and apparently he lost a step on defense, which would make him the first to go.
Frye's skills are diminishing, and in a video game he is of no use as a locker room presence, so he needs to go as well. Thompson on the other hand is a good interior player, who can rebound, dunk, and block, but in no way is he worthy of that contract.
That's why it would be probably better to move him.
