The 2011 NBA Champions are currently in the midst of an almighty rebuild. Fortunately, their summer business gives us a head start, as MyGM players start with a refreshed squad laced with enough talent to lay a solid foundation.

Luka Doncic is the key man. Rated 79 overall, the 19-year-old was one of the 2018 draft's most coveted prospects, and only fell to third overall after an injury scare. Already an excellent ball-handler and passer, he's expected to eventually inherit Dirk Nowitzki's throne as the king of Dallas, and should form a potent backcourt combination with the more athletic Dennis Smith Jr. Gamers will want to do everything in their power to keep them together, because they could conceivably lead this franchise for years to come.

Fellow starters DeAndre Jordan and Harrison Barnes are talented NBA studs who'll help raise the Mavs above the conference's cannon fodder. Their expiring contracts are part of what makes Dallas such an enticing prospect, though. Barnes has a player option for 2019-20, but Jordan, Wesley Matthews, and J.J. Barea will all be unrestricted free agents, giving aspiring GMs plenty of cap room to play with.
