Nintendo NX: 7 Reasons Why 2016 Release Is A Bad Idea

4. Launch Titles

Nintendo's strongest asset is their ability to create some genuinely enthralling titles. The Zelda series and of course Mario & Co. have entertained the world for years, and despite their hardware shortcomings, Nintendo have still managed to produce some amazing games for both series', they need to be launch titles, but the former won't be. The next Zelda is set for a '2016' release after being delayed in true Zelda style. It could easily do a Twilight Princess (GameCube and Wii) by launching on the Wii U as a swansong and NX as a launch title, but is that really what we want to see? It'll still be a great game, no doubt, but a dedicated NX Zelda will be years away. The NX's launch titles must be superb, and the hype must be enormous if it is to stand any chance of clawing back Nintendo's reputation.
