Nintendo Switch: 10 Improvements It STILL Needs
5. A Pro Model
Make no mistake, the Nintendo Switch is a revolution in gaming. But every console can be improved. Microsoft did it with the Xbox One S/X, as did Sony with the Playstation 4 Pro. Nintendo doesn't need to steer away from the Switch with a new console, just an upgraded version.
A lot of entries on this list could be addressed with the release of a Pro model. A bigger battery, higher quality screen, and better internal components to better support triple-A third-party games. They could release new and improved Joy-Cons, and it could launch with a more advanced dock that could output 4K video to your television.
Nintendo need not worry about the price being high; most consumers of Nintendo's products prefer the quality of their first-party games to the quality of the console. The Wii went up against the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 and, even though it lacked HD visuals like it's competitors, it was still a massive success because of the games. That being said, Nintendo has lagged behind the competition in terms of technical prowess for far too long.
A Switch Pro would definitely open the doors for those who want a Switch, but don't want to invest in an underpowered system.
