Nintendo Switch: 5 Burning Questions We Still Need Answering
2. What Games Will Be Available At Launch?
More rumours continue to leak and spread online around the Switch, from the games to the technical specs. The biggest and recent one to come out was that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild would not be released at launch alongside the Wii U version in March.
Despite the games Nintendo teased in the reveal trailer, this was definitely one that many people were looking forward to and has many Nintendo fans wondering what would be available at launch.
The new Mario game that was briefly seen also has it's own rumour, but it might just be the news we need after being so unsure about when we will play Breath of the Wild. This new title in the Super Mario series (which is currently unknown), might be a launch title and would be a very smart move for fans new and old.
This would also help with sales from owners of Apple products, as it would be released after Mario Run (due to drop in December), appealling to gamers of that market as well as the diehard Nintendo fans who want a new 3D Mario game.
We see in the trailer that a version of Mario Kart 8 and Splatoon will eventually be on the console. Since the trailer's launch, we also know that a version of Super Smash Bros from the Wii U might come out for the console. Given that Mario Kart 8 and Splatoon all look very similar to their Wii U counterparts, chances are we will see them out sometime next year. Because of the critical praise of these games, these specific titles could open up to other ports of Wii U games, as well as exclusive Switch titles.
