Nintendo Switch: 9 Things Nobody Wants To Admit

7. Overpriced Extras

The Nintendo Switch, which itself comes with the console, the dock, and a pair of Joy-Cons, currently goes for $300. That's honestly a really solid price for the system.

Too bad its accessories didn't follow suit. Even ensuring the Switch has enough memory to download the majority of games means purchasing additional memory cards.

The main premise of the Switch encourages multiple players too, but the console only comes with a pair of Joy-Cons. To achieve that perfect four-player match, you're gonna have to drop another $80, or $50 for just one separately. You're also likely going to want that Joy-Con Charging Grip or a Joy-Con Charging Dock, so there's another $30 for whichever suits your preference.

How about those players that prefer a more polished gaming experience, or new fans more familiar with the Xbox and PlayStation's style of controllers? Nintendo did thankfully give us the Pro Controller... for a hefty $70.

Put these prices together with the fact that most Switch games are between $50 and $60, and everything Switch-related is suddenly putting a massive hole in your wallet.
