In their live stream that concluded a few hours ago, Nintendo finally revealed that their latest console offering, the Nintendo Switch, will be released in most markets on March 3rd 2017.

In the UK, Amazon and GAME are both currently taking pre-orders, with both retailers listing a price of £279.99, available in the standard Grey model, or the more colourful Neon Blue and Red model, which includes one Joy-Con of each colour. Various accessories are also available, including individual Joy-Con controllers, wrist straps and protective covers for the new console/handheld hybrid.

At this time, the only two games absolutely confirmed for launch day are The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and 1-2-Switch, both Nintendo first-party titles, but more are sure to be revealed in the coming days.

Other games confirmed for the console include Super Mario Odyssey, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Splatoon 2, Skyrim, FIFA, Just Dance 2017, Sonic Mania and I Am Setsuna.

We'll be at the Hands-On event in London over the weekend to try out the new console, so check back in for our thoughts after we get our hands on the machine.
