With a sturdy sniper rifle and the ability to scale the highest points of every map with her grappling hook, Widowmaker is an appealing choice for first-time players.

Being one of the only characters in the game who can ironically provide overwatch for the team, Widowmaker's powerful primary weapon can be great for scoring sick headshots and putting a dent in the enemy's armour, but she's not much of a team player.

Fortunately her saving grace is her ultimate ability, being able to highlight the position of the enemy team which can be essential in pushing them back during heated moments.

Relatively useless if someone gets the drop on her though, playing as Widowmaker is a sort of selfish pursuit outside of specific scenarios that require her specialist skill set.
