Throughout the annals of football history, there has been some incredibly gifted footballers. Pelé, Maradona, Zidane and Cryuff, just to name a few, were all masters of the game, making magical moments that will live on forever seem unnaturally easy. Like all the greats, Cristiano Ronaldo is the type of player that only comes along every century. Not since the days of Pelé has there been a more lethal scorer than Ronaldo and as he hits the peak of his powers right about now and as the star of arguably the strongest club team ever assembled, there really is nothing stopping him from dominating the landscape for the next few years. Fans of his great rival Lionel Messi will argue that it is Messi who stands above all others but Ronaldo makes a compelling case for himself with an almost dizzying array of statistics that just keeps on growing. After a fantastic 2012/13 season, Ronaldo continued his dazzling form to enjoy his most successful club season ever in 2013/14. He scored 51 goals in all competitions including 31 goals and 19 assists in La Liga which earned him the the Pichichi prize and he capped it off with winning the Fifa Ballon dOr for the second time. Most importantly, Ronaldo forever immortalized himself after leading Real Madrid to 'La Decima'. Ronaldo scored against every team on the road to Champions League glory, a feat which saw him smash the record for most Champions League strikes in a single season. He also won another Copa del Rey medal after some stellar performances and 7 goals. A goal scoring machine, Ronaldo is an absolute powerhouse with the guile of a ballet dancer. He combines skill with strength, can shoot with both feet, is excellent in the air and can skin any player with blistering pace. He is the total package and unique to the world of football, which have lead some to refer to Ronaldo as the greatest athlete to ever grace a pitch. And as a once in a lifetime goal scoring phenom, Ronaldo will definitely be the highest rated player in PES 2015. That's it for the list. Did we get it wrong? Do agree or disagree with the choices?
