Predicting The Metacritic Scores For 2016's Biggest Video Games

4. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided (85)

Deus Ex Mankind Divided
Square Enix

The Deus Ex franchise has enjoyed consistent acclaim, with the first three games scoring 90, 80-84 and 88-91 respectively.

As such, it would be foolish to expect the new game to score anything less than 80, and though its marketing campaign has been strangely low-key, that shouldn't ultimately have much bearing on the game's eventual quality.

While critics will surely praise the game for fixing those few complaints people had about Human Revolution (namely the terrible boss fights), the law of diminished returns will probably prevent this from feeling as fresh as the previous game.

It'll be a highly entertaining sci-fi actioner, albeit not quite the breath of fresh air that the original or previous game was.
