Thumper might be being developed by a company called Drool, but two of its most prominent names hail from developer Harmonix, famous for the Rock Band series. Thumper is a brutally fast, 'rhythm violence' game and it seems to take the rhythm games and pump them full of steroids.

Running silky smooth through a series of eclectic and frankly bonkers stages to a pulse-pounding soundtrack, Thumper is definitely a unique experience on the PS VR. Whether or not the tubular level design will become claustrophobic at high speeds inside the headset is hard to tell, but Drool's fast-paced music game looks to breathe new life into the tired genre.
