PS4: 10 Features Sony Must Implement In The Next Firmware Update

6. Sort Your Games Into Folders

Hey, y'know what sucks as a design choice? Tiles. You'd think Sony and Microsoft would've learnt their lesson watching the led balloon that was Windows 8 pop and burn, but no - both of them went for this bland and off-putting interface for the new machines anyway. Flicking through endless series' of box arts to get to the one you want to play just isn't user-friendly, and although a past firmware update allowed for an even longer list of titles to appear on the main XMB thread instead of going to a different menu (itself missing the point entirely), users simply need the ability to create their own custom folders for everything. With the push at the minute towards remasters and 'Definitive Editions' (what's up with that?) surely it favours having something like a Naughty Dog folder replete with the upcoming Uncharted trilogy remaster and The Last of Us titles in the same place? The ease of use is written on the wall here, and as mock-ups online have shown, it can't possibly be harder to implement than something like re-mapping the entire controller.
