PS5: 10 Reasons You Should Be WORRIED

4. The SSD Problem

Another worrisome prospect is the ultra-fast SSD. While most of it sounds amazing and might even be able to change the way people design games, there is a huge setback.

Third-party developers need to be able to create games that run on multiple platforms. If developers have to create two completely different versions of the same game, that's gonna be a problem.

Many third-party developers aren't going to do that, which means the only developers that'll be able to get the most out of the SSD are the first-party developers. Of course, we'd love to see Naughty Dog make the most of the SSD's capabilities, but it raises the question if Sony had to pull out all the stops to create this super SSD.

Then there's the fact that it is because of the SSD that the PS5 isn't able to run backwards compatibility properly. The SSD is simply to fast for current-gen games, which means Sony is trying to figure out a way to bring old games over. As discussed earlier, that isn't going so well at the moment.

Add to that the fact that the SSD is only 825 GB instead of Microsoft's 1TB, and you're behind on storage as well.
