PS5: 10 Reasons You Should Be WORRIED
3. Where Are The Games?
Sony still holds a huge triumph card when it comes to next-gen: the games. Sony has built itself a reputation over the last ten years with massive games that have dominated the conversation. Simply put, the PlayStation has exclusive games that you want to play.
Revealing sequels to some of the biggest games of this generation would be a huge move to win people over. It would make up for the botched presentation and give people something to look forward to. The question is whether or not Sony is going to throw down their heavy hitters at the first opportunity.
Sony is playing their cards really close to the vest right now and blowing their load with many massive games at one event doesn't seem likely. The strategy worked masterfully back in 2016 when Sony showed every upcoming first-party game for the next four years, but there was a catch.
As time went by, people started to turn on the presentation because it took a long time for the games to release. Therefore it would seem more likely that Sony sprinkles the game announcements out over an extended period of time.
